Mindy's Memory Primate Sanctuary is a wonderful sanctuary located in Newcastle Oklahoma. Come meet the fun loving residents by joining Monkey Tales, the monthly online newsletter. Currently there are 59 monkeys residing at Mindy's. They range in age from Beasley, who arrived at only 11 months old in April 2003, to Muggsy, Better known as Grandma, who is over 40 years old and comes complete with arthritic fingers, age spots, a sagging chin and wrinkles. She WHAT they were are WHO they have become. Some were beloved pets, abused pets, petstore displays, research subjects and even one who was confiscated while being smuggled into Canada from Moracco. Some arrive as infants needing to be bottle fed, others have never seen the outdoors or another monkey before. Many of these would have been euthanized if it were not for a sanctuary like Mindy's, where all will live out the remainder of their lives in peace, just being monkeys. The next time you need to send a greeting card, please consider sending an ecard featuring one of the monkeys that call Mindy's home. This is a wonderful way for you to help promote the sanctuary. Not all residents have been featured in the Holiday Specific Greeting Card Album. Please visit the Residents Album to see all of the monkeys.
